Sarah Stemmler, MSPO, CPO

Sarah Stemmler is a board-certified orthotist and prosthetist, specializing in pediatric orthotics and spinal deformities. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Health and Human Performance in 2008. She then graduated from the Newington Certificate Program with postbaccalaureate certificates in orthotics and prosthetics in 2009 and 2010 and later earned her Master’s degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 2016 from the University of Hartford. She has over a decade of experience treating a large scope of orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to: spina bifida, scoliosis, kyphosis, clubfoot, hip dysplasia, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, and fracture care.

Her specialty and passion is the treatment of scoliosis patients. She is experienced in multiple scoliosis brace systems, including custom TLSOs for neuromuscular scoliosis and post-operative applications, the Boston brace, the Providence brace, kyphosis braces,  the Charleston bending brace, and the 3D Boston style brace. She trained with Dr. Manuel Rigo in Germany in 2017 to learn the Rigo Chêneau brace system in order to provide this innovative option to patients. Sarah embraces the unique qualities of each child in order to provide customized treatment and looks forward to meeting and working with you.
